Project Overview
I worked on an SEO strategy for AI for Homework, a web app that helps Grade 12 students tackle assignments with guidance from AI. It’s also a useful tool for parents who want to keep an eye on their kids' assignments and for teachers who can set, grade, and track homework all in one place. The goal was to find the best keywords to attract students, parents, and teachers to the app, so they know it's out there and can start benefiting from it.
My Process Using Google Keyword Planner
To find the right keywords, I used Google Keyword Planner. Here’s how I broke it down:
Search Volume: I looked at how often certain keywords are searched. This helped me spot popular terms that people are regularly looking for, like “homework help” and “AI for students.” The higher the search volume, the more potential traffic these keywords could bring to our site.
Competition: This shows how hard it might be to rank for certain keywords. I wanted a mix of terms—some that are less competitive so we could get quick wins and others that are a bit tougher but would pay off in the long run. It’s like balancing between easy wins and big goals.
Year-Over-Year Trends: Lastly, I checked if interest in these keywords has been steady or even growing over the years. Choosing keywords with a rising trend helps make sure we’re aiming at terms that will keep being relevant and keep bringing traffic over time.

How I Put It All Together
With this info, I narrowed down a list of high-potential keywords. I then mapped out where we could naturally use these terms across the website—like in page titles, headings, and descriptions—to make sure they’re front and center when people search for homework help online.

Wrapping Up
This keyword strategy gives AI for Homework a solid foundation for reaching the right people. By keeping students, parents, and teachers in mind, we’re setting the app up to connect with those who’ll get the most from using it.
